On March 14, under the morning sun at Dalian Port, the vessel Tabaya carrying 303 containers embarked on its maiden voyage to Indonesia through the container terminal. This marked the official launch of the "Sea-Land Maersk" Indonesia route - the first foreign trade container route established since the formation of Liaoning Port Group.

The new Indonesia route represents the third container route launched by Liaoning Port Group in March, following the "Yingkou-Haikou" and "Yingkou-Ganyu" routes, further enriching the regional shipping network.

In recent years, deepening trade cooperation between Dalian and ASEAN nations has led to increasingly frequent cargo flows and sustained growth in trade volume. This rising demand created a solid market foundation for the introduction of the "Sea-Land Maersk" Indonesia route. The new route effectively expands Dalian Port's shipping capacity in Southeast Asia while increasing flight frequency. It's projected to handle approximately 30,000 TEUs of container volume at Dalian Port within the coming year.

To date, Dalian Port has opened 14 Southeast Asian routes, including the newly launched Indonesia route. Since its establishment in January, Liaoning Port Group has been promoting integration between Dalian and Yingkou ports while leveraging their geographical advantages to develop container source analysis and route expansion, rapidly advancing new route openings and optimizing network layouts.

Beyond the Indonesia route, Liaoning Port Group also launched the "Yingkou-Haikou" domestic trade container route in March, which became China's largest cross-latitude combined domestic and foreign trade route serviced by the same vessel. The March 11 opening of the "Yingkou-Ganyu" weekly direct route further improved cargo transportation efficiency between these locations, accelerating container business growth at Lianyungang's Ganyu Port Area.

As one of China's largest port groups by assets and throughput volume, Liaoning Port Group boasts over 9,000 meters of container terminal shoreline with 29 berths and maximum water depth of 17.8 meters - capable of accommodating all currently operating container vessels globally. The group operates more than 150 domestic and international container routes, with domestic networks covering most major regions in North China, East China, and Southeast China, while its foreign trade network extends to over 300 ports across 160 countries and territories - demonstrating significant infrastructure capabilities and operational efficiency.

Looking ahead, Liaoning Port Group will continue leveraging its resources to strengthen container transportation services, enhancing the regional influence of Dalian and Yingkou ports to better meet growing international trade demands and support economic development in Liaoning Province and nationwide.
