When importing goods destined for bonded warehouse storage, the owner or their authorized agent must complete an "Import Customs Declaration Form" in triplicate. Each copy must bear a "Bonded Warehouse Goods" stamp and clearly indicate the name of the designated bonded warehouse facility.
Upon receipt of the shipment, the bonded warehouse operator must promptly sign and validate the customs declaration forms. One validated copy remains on file at the warehouse for future reference, while the second copy must be returned to customs for official records.
For goods entering through ports located outside the bonded warehouse's jurisdiction, importers must comply with cross-border transportation regulations. This requires prior application for a "Customs Transit Goods Permit." Only after the goods arrive at the destination port can standard warehouse entry procedures commence as outlined above.
The streamlined process ensures proper customs oversight while facilitating efficient logistics for temporary storage of imported goods before their final clearance or re-export.
