Tianjin Port, located at the mouth of the Haihe River in Tianjin, is the largest comprehensive port in Northern China. The deep-water main channel can accommodate vessels of 300,000 tons. As a significant hub for foreign trade, its cargo throughput exceeded 500 million tons in 2013, continually driving regional economic development.
This study focuses on the strategy for developing Tianjin Port as a core area for international shipping in Northern China. It emphasizes the importance of safety management and transformation upgrades to promote regional economic development.
This article outlines the basic procedures for full container ocean export at Tianjin Port, including booking, container pickup, loading, customs declaration, consolidation, and shipping. Each step is interconnected to ensure the safety and compliance of the transportation process. The importance of customs supervision is particularly emphasized, aiming to reduce smuggling risks in cargo management and ensure the smooth progress of all formalities.
Tianjin Port has partnered with China National Foreign Trade Transportation Group to enhance inland logistics network construction. The collaboration focuses on optimizing transportation structures through a dry port system, promoting sea-rail intermodal transport and scheduled road services. Leveraging the geographical advantages of the Tianjin port, they aim to improve logistics efficiency.
