E-Commerce Drives Export Growth
The rapid development of cross-border e-commerce has brought new momentum to Hangzhou Airport. In the first half of this year, cross-border e-commerce export volume at Hangzhou Airport reached 68,600 tons , marking a 25.63% increase year-over-year. This growth has undoubtedly injected new vitality into the regional economy.
Inside Hangzhou Airport's international cargo terminal, visitors witness a bustling scene: on the second floor of China's first "multi-level smart cargo terminal" , goods cleared by customs are being efficiently packed and prepared for loading onto aircraft. These shipments represent more than just statistics—they embody tangible economic growth.
Expanding International Network
Hangzhou Airport has also made significant progress in expanding its international route network. To date, the airport has launched three new international routes to Tokyo (Japan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Ostrava (Czech Republic) , bringing its total number of active routes to 20 and cumulative routes to 28. These developments underscore Hangzhou Airport's growing importance in the global logistics network.
Notably, the expansion of international passenger routes has also contributed to the growth of cargo volume. In the first half of this year, 24,500 tons of cargo were transported in the belly holds of passenger aircraft at Hangzhou Airport, representing a 17.34% increase year-over-year. This approach effectively utilizes the capacity of existing international passenger flights, improving both transportation efficiency and economic benefits.

The thriving development of Hangzhou Airport not only creates opportunities for local businesses but also contributes to the facilitation of global trade. With the continuous expansion of cross-border e-commerce and international routes, Hangzhou Airport is poised to play an increasingly important role on the international economic stage in the years to come.
