Chinas Free Trade Zones Outpace National Growth in Q1 2025
In Q1 2025, China's Free Trade Zones (FTZs) saw a 2.2% increase in import and export volume, surpassing the national average. The Ministry of Commerce plans to deepen reforms, benchmark against international high standards, explore institutional opening-up, support industrial innovation, and optimize regional layout. These efforts aim to further enhance the role of FTZs in China's overall opening-up strategy and contribute to higher-quality economic development.
