Falabellacom Expands Crossborder Ecommerce with New Products

As the year-end shopping season approaches, Chilean retail leader Falabella has announced a significant expansion of its cross-border e-commerce operations, adding over 20,000 new international products to meet growing consumer demand for global shopping options. This move represents a major boost for the cross-border e-commerce market in the region.

Extensive Product Range Across Multiple Categories

The expansion includes products from Asia, America, and Europe across popular categories such as technology, gaming, beauty, accessories, and home goods. Notable brands now available include Lenovo, Xiaomi, Realme in electronics, along with beauty brands The Ordinary and Tigi in personal care.

"We're committed to providing customers with transparent pricing and a seamless shopping experience," said Country Manager Pablo San Martin. "All displayed prices include VAT and import duties, eliminating guesswork for consumers."

Enhanced Logistics and Customer Service

Approximately 90% of items in the international catalog now qualify for free shipping, significantly reducing the cost barrier for cross-border purchases. The company has partnered with multiple logistics providers to optimize delivery times, with current estimates of 7-11 business days for orders from the Americas and 10-15 days for shipments from Asia and Europe.

Perhaps most notably, Falabella now provides full Spanish-language customer support for all international purchases, effectively removing language barriers that traditionally complicate cross-border shopping. The retailer also maintains its standard return and exchange policies for international items, utilizing its network of physical locations and external partners to ensure customer satisfaction.

Strategic Timing for Holiday Shopping

This expansion comes at a strategic moment as consumers begin their year-end shopping. By significantly broadening its international product selection while maintaining localized customer service standards, Falabella positions itself as a strong contender in the increasingly competitive Latin American e-commerce market.
