The port has developed specialized facilities for bulk sugar exports, featuring mechanized conveyor systems capable of loading 600 tons per hour. Additional infrastructure includes pipelines for sugar syrup transportation installed along both sides of the pier, ensuring efficient cargo movement.
While freshwater supply at the port is limited, nearby Chimbote provides sufficient resources to meet vessels' basic needs. Managed by the national government, the port maintains high operational standards with 24/7 service availability.
