Eastern Airlines Cold Chain A New Model for Supporting the Globalization of Domestic Pharmaceuticals

In today's increasingly competitive global pharmaceutical market, ensuring the safe transportation of high-value medical products remains a significant challenge for many companies. On August 4, an Eastern Airlines flight MU5069 carrying 450 kilograms of domestically produced anti-cancer drugs arrived on schedule in Jakarta, marking a new milestone in China's pharmaceutical export logistics.

This landmark shipment utilized Eastern Airlines Cold Chain's proprietary temperature monitoring system called "Dongdong Test," combined with their comprehensive logistics visualization platform "Fresh Flight Information System." The system provides real-time monitoring of pharmaceutical products from factory to final delivery, addressing the stringent temperature control requirements for these high-value medications.

The logistics company implemented a dual-temperature monitoring solution combining "on-package temperature tags" with "active aviation temperature-controlled containers" to maintain ideal conditions throughout the journey. Ten "Dongdong Test" temperature tags were embedded in the pallets, allowing clients to monitor both temperature and location data via cloud platform access.

Crucially, the active aviation temperature-controlled containers used in this shipment were also domestically developed , representing a significant achievement for China's logistics technology sector. This shipment also marked the first international export for this particular anti-cancer medication.

Eastern Airlines Cold Chain, with its extensive experience in perishable goods logistics, is now applying its successful model to the pharmaceutical sector. The company aims to provide optimized temperature-controlled transport solutions for China's high-end medical products, supporting their expansion into global markets.

This innovative transport model has not only improved client satisfaction but also established a solid foundation for future international pharmaceutical distribution. Eastern Airlines Cold Chain continues to refine its processes, ensuring that every medical shipment reaches global patients in optimal condition.
